About Our Speakers Dr. Carolyn Wilde is a highly experienced obstetrician and gynaecologist based in Gippsland, Victoria. A local to the region, she completed her schooling in Sale before earning a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from The University of Melbourne in 2004. Dr. Wilde's specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology was largely undertaken at The Mercy Hospital for Women in Melbourne, with the final two years in Ballarat and Western Victoria. This rural training provided her with a broad skill set in general gynaecological surgery, including advanced laparoscopic procedures, endometriosis surgery, and infertility surgery. Since returning to Gippsland in 2016, Dr. Wilde has been an integral part of the local healthcare community. She currently holds the position of Clinical Lead for Gynaecology at West Gippsland Healthcare Group, a role she has held since 2013 . In addition to her leadership role, she consults and operates at Maryvale Private Hospital in Morwell and maintains a private practice at Warragul Consulting Suites. Dr. Alison Wilde is a dedicated General Practitioner (GP) serving the Gippsland region of Victoria, with a focus on providing comprehensive and compassionate healthcare to her patients. Education and Training Dr. Wilde earned her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree, qualifying her as a medical doctor. She has since built a career centered on patient care, with experience in both urban and rural settings. In addition to her clinic work, Dr. Wilde has been involved in obstetric care, providing antenatal and postnatal services in collaboration with midwives and other healthcare professionals.
